The ALISA Vector Module classifies signals in high-dimensional data spaces based on training with vectors of preprocessed numeric feature values, much like the primate auditory cortex. Typical applications have included the prediction of faults on the Hubble Space Telescope platform, the detection of progressive drowsiness and fatigue in car drivers, and the concentrations of components in mixtures of radioisotopes (e.g., at hospitals and in radiological weapons).
